Before You Arrive

Advance Bookings

We highly recommend booking your treatment in advance to ensure your preferred time and service is available. If cancellation is necessary, a 24 hour notification is appreciated.

Time to Share

With individually inspired treatment suites, we are able to offer you and a friend or loved one the peaceful experience of being side by side to enjoy your massage and/or nail services. To assure your time together please inform our staff when booking your appointment.

Arrival Time

Please arrive 15–20 minutes before your appointment. Arriving early allows you to smoothly transition from the outside world to the calming ambiance of the Belleza relaxation area. You may also fill out paperwork and change into a robe and sandals provided prior to your treatment. Arriving late cheats you out of valuable treatment time. Please note that late arrivals will not receive an extension of scheduled treatment time in consideration of the next client.

Steam or Sauna

Belleza offers complimentary steam or sauna to any of our clients who have reserved a massage, facial, or body treatment. Please call 865.558.8424 to let a booking representative know you would like to add this service so that it may be ready upon arrival or when you finish your service.

Intake Forms

To save time and make the most of your visit, we encourage you to fill out intake forms before you arrive. You will need to complete and sign the appropriate form(s) before we can begin your service(s).

Clients Under 18

Clients under the age of 18 require written consent from their parent or legal guardian.

Only clients receiving spa services will be allowed in the spa areas. Babies and toddlers are not permitted to accompany an adult during spa service, for the safety and comfort of our staff and guests. Well behaved children of any age may receive a manicure and/or pedicure when accompanied by an adult. Clients under the age of 18 must wear swimwear or undergarments during all massage, facial or body treatments. Belleza reserves the right to terminate any service at any point if we feel that the child is interrupting other clients’ relaxation.

All products used for your treatment(s) are available in our retail area for you to continue your spa regime at home, along with a selection of other luxury product lines.

Before Your Spa Treatment

General Preparations

Drink a lot of water to maintain hydration and receive the full benefit of your experience at Belleza. The water will flush out any toxins released by massage, body treatments, sauna or steam and essential oil treatments.

Cell Phones

We want to create and ensure a relaxing environment and experience for all of our guests. In consideration of others, please refrain from talking on your cell phone inside the spa. All cell phones must be in silent mode or turned off. All guests must keep all conversations to a whisper, as not to disrupt our other clients.

What to Wear

Clients who have reserved a massage, facial, or body treatment will have the option to receive a locker, robe and sandals when they arrive at Belleza. Lockers are provided for your convenience however, Belleza is not held responsible for any valuables brought into the spa, even those left in our lockers.

As you change into your robe, dress to your comfort level. During a massage treatment, our therapists drape you to protect your privacy, so being completely naked is appropriate. If you feel more comfortable wearing undergarments for your massage, please feel free to do so. If your treatment involves rinsing with water or certain waxing treatments, Belleza can also provide disposable underwear.

Medical Conditions and Pregnancy

When scheduling your treatment, please let us know if you have any physical ailments, medical conditions, or allergies. Our service providers should also be notified if you are pregnant, have high blood pressure, a heart condition, or any other medical condition. Our staff will personalize your treatment to meet any special needs or accommodations you may require. If you have any questions about a spa treatment and your health, please consult a doctor.

Tips for waxing

Pre-Waxing

Do not wax for at least 3–4 weeks, or shave for 10-14 days prior to your treatment. A 1⁄4 inch hair growth is required for bikini, leg, arm, chest, back and underarm waxing.

For Brazilian, bikini, men’s chest or back waxes, please trim any long hair to minimize discomfort.

Female clients may have heightened sensitivity during the week prior to or during menstruation.

Limit your caffeine intake the day of your waxing service. Caffeine stimulates the nervous system and increases sensitivity.

Avoid using Retin-A/Renova for at least 30 days prior to your wax..

Avoid using Accutane for at least one year.

Avoid using peels or micro-dermabrasion on the waxing area for at least 24 hours.

Do not consume excessive amounts of alcohol or sunbathe for at least 48 hours prior to wax.

Avoid using self-tanners, exfoliants or moisturizers the day of the service – they can cause irritations to the sensitive hair follicles that are open after waxing.

Post-Waxing

Minimize skin irritation by applying aloe vera or hydrocortisone cream to the treated area.

You may wash the waxed area, but refrain from using harsh cleansers or creams for 24–48 hours.

Avoid hot tubs, hot showers, hot baths, sunbathing and tanning for at least 24–48 hours.

For ingrown hair or to help heal and soothe cuticle damage try Finipil or Follicare, available at all spa locations.

Prevent ingrown hairs by avoiding exfoliation for 2–3 days prior to service and then exfoliating the area regularly.

Tips for peels

Pre-Peel

Discontinue Accutane at least 6 months prior to the peel.

Discontinue the use of Retinoic Acid Products three days prior to the peel.

Report ALL skin diseases, viruses, infections, cold sores, eczema or allergies.

Do not exfoliate, use Glycolic Acid, Benzoyl Peroxide or any skin irritants 24 hours before peel.

Do not shave, use depilatories, wax or have electrolysis the day of the peel.

If the skin is red, irritated or sunburned the peel must be rescheduled.

Report all medication taken the day of the peel.

Optional- to take a couple of Tylenol or Advil the day of the peel to calm sensitivity.

Post-Peel

Avoid direct sun exposure and apply a SPF 30 or higher before sun exposure.

Avoid strenuous exercise for at least 48 hours.

Avoid touching, picking , peeling, or rubbing of the skin.

For at least one week do not use exfoliators, Glycolic Acid, Benzoyl Peroxide

Do not shave, tweeze or wax treated area.

Resume home care products as directed by your skin care specialist.
